Effective July 1, 2020, feminine hygiene products are exempt from Washington Retail Sales Tax.
feminine hygiene products include:
Sanitary Napkins
Tampons
Menstrual Cups
Any other products for similar purposes
If your business carries the above products, please stop collecting retail sales tax on sale of the products from 7/1/2020. Also, if you are a consumer who purchased the products and paid sales tax after 7/1/2020, you may request for a refund.
